Launced in September 2011, Studenty.me is on course to become the online student community in Ireland. Led by a dedicated team of student media editors, Studenty.me has grown to almost 200 student online journalists, based in locations covering the island of Ireland. Studenty.me’s satirical, anti-establishment style has seen visitor numbers increase steadily and expects to see it’s millionth visitor by year end 2012.
Studenty.me is excited to announce a content sharing partnership with NUIG’s SIN student newspaper. SIN Newspaper, Galway’s only student newspaper, was established in 2000 out of its predecessor Cool Chaint. It has changed a lot over the years, and in 2011 had a radical make-over and change in ethos. With a circulation of 6,000 published bi-weekly, Sin is student and campus focussed, celebrating the achievements of NUI Galway’s students, athletes, artists, writers and staff. The Irish language is promoted on our pages, and in March 2012 Sin published its first Irish Language cover article. You can read all issues online at www.sin.ie
Founder of Studenty Mike White said, ‘As Studenty grows, we’ll be working extremely hard to deliver tangible benefits to SIN as well as all NUIG students and we’re looking forward to a hugely positive partnership.’
